Did you know that in New York State it is not legal for any business to apply crabgrass control, insect control, fungicide or any other type of pesticide to your property without an applicators license.  If you’re not sure, ask to see it.  If they don’t have one or it’s expired you could liable for the laws they are breaking. 

​Unlicensed applicators put you and your family’s health and financial well-being at risk. Greenleaf is registered with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. They regulate and enforce the laws that govern pesticide applicators.  With Greenleaf you’ll have a beautiful yard AND peace of mind. Greenleaf is a member of the NSLGA and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County.  The NSLGA is an organization of professional landscapers and gardeners of Nassau and Suffolk County.  All members must be fully licensed, insured and properly trained.  Cornell Cooperative extension is a state funded agricultural resource that promotes responsible and sustainable agriculture in New York State.

Slow Release Fertilizer Applications 

Unlike other companies we use fertilizer with Duration CR technology.  This patented slow release molecule allows for controlled nitrogen release so you get long lasting green and it won't burn your lawn. We make the 1st application in early April which, when combined with the core aeration that is already part of your spring cleanup, gets your lawn greening up fast. An additional application is made approximately 10 to 12 weeks later to ensure even growth and consistent nutrition.​

Crabgrass Control

Applying the right product at the right time is critical in controlling crabgrass. And once the Crabgrass has started growing it’s much more difficult and expensive to get rid of.

​If your lawn has been heavily infested with Crabgrass it’s not always possible to prevent all of it from coming back but our program will ensure that you see much less of it this year—and even less next year! This product can only be applied in early Spring so make sure you call us early.
